This Privacy Policy explains how Laxi Launcher ("the Application", "we", "us", or "our") operates regarding user privacy, device permissions, and financial data integrity. We prioritize digital privacy: Laxi Launcher is built as a minimalist, offline utility with zero personal surveillance.

1. Data Collection Architecture

Laxi Launcher is built to minimize data exposure:

• No Personal Information: We do not collect, log, store, or transmit names, phone numbers, email addresses, geographic locations, hardware identifiers (IMEI/Android ID), or account credentials.
• No Analytics or Telemetry: There are no third-party tracking frameworks (such as Google Analytics or Firebase), tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling tools embedded within the Application.
• No Advertisements: The Application contains no ad networks or tracking beacons.
• 100% Offline Core: All app catalog indexing, typography layout calculations, custom shadow rendering, gesture handling, and usage statistics processing take place strictly on your local device.

2. Payments & Financial Information (In-App Support & Pro Unlock)

If you choose to use the voluntary "Tip" or "Pro Unlock" features inside the Application, transactions are conducted under the following terms:

• Google Play In-App Billing: All in-app support transactions are executed through Google Play's native billing API (com.android.vending.BILLING).
• Zero Financial Access: Binary Era does not collect, receive, store, or have access to your payment card numbers, bank accounts, UPI IDs, or personal billing addresses. All billing information is processed strictly within Google Play's PCI-DSS compliant secure infrastructure.
• Purchase Confirmations: The Application only receives an encrypted, anonymous purchase confirmation token from Google Play Services to confirm transactions and activate optional Pro features or display a thank-you confirmation.
• Unauthorized Builds & External Links: Genuine versions of Laxi Launcher distributed on Google Play only process support options through Google's native billing API and never link to external payment processors or crypto addresses. If an installed application prompts you to send payments through an external website or third-party gateway, you are running an unauthorized, modified APK. We do not operate external payment funnels and collect no data from them.

3. System Permissions & On-Device Processing

To deliver core launcher functionality, the Application requests specific system permissions. All associated processing is performed locally on your device:

• AccessibilityService API (LaxiAccessibilityService): Used strictly on devices running Android 9.0 (API 28) and higher to perform the system screen lock action (GLOBAL_ACTION_LOCK_SCREEN) when you trigger your configured lock gesture or the optional Sleep shortcut. This service runs completely offline, does not observe, read, or store screen content (canRetrieveWindowContent="false"), intercepts no touch events outside its own interface, and collects or logs zero user inputs, keystrokes, or personal data.
• Package Visibility & Intent Queries (<queries>): In compliance with Android 11+ package visibility standards, the Application queries installed applications to build your home screen word cloud. It specifically queries system intents including Browser (https), Dialer (ACTION_DIAL), SMS (smsto:), Camera (IMAGE_CAPTURE), Contacts (APP_CONTACTS), Email (mailto:), Maps (geo:), Clock (SHOW_ALARMS), Gallery (image/*), Video (video/*), Files (APP_FILES), Market (APP_MARKET), Calendar (APP_CALENDAR), Calculator (APP_CALCULATOR), Music (APP_MUSIC), and Sound Recorder. This data is queried solely on-device to dynamically assign initial word cloud sizes and launch requested applications. No package data or usage information is ever transmitted off the device.
• Device Administration (LauncherAdminReceiver): Used as a legacy screen lock fallback for devices running Android 8.1 and earlier, or when the user manually opts for Device Admin locking. It is utilized strictly to invoke Android's native lockNow() command and cannot read passcodes, monitor unlocks, or modify system storage.
• Set Wallpaper (android.permission.SET_WALLPAPER): Allows the launcher to apply your custom-selected solid background colors or open system wallpaper options.
• Expand Status Bar (android.permission.EXPAND_STATUS_BAR): Allows the launcher to programmatically expand the system notification shade when you perform a single-finger swipe-down gesture.
• Request Package Removal (android.permission.REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES): Allows the launcher to invoke Android's standard system uninstallation confirmation dialog when you choose to uninstall an app from the label menu.
• Storage Access Framework (SAF): Invoked only when you explicitly choose to import custom typography files (.ttf or .otf) into the launcher's sandboxed storage.

4. Local Storage & Data Deletion

All customization settings, font choices, gesture assignments, background pattern configs, text shadow parameters, and launch counts reside in local preferences (launcher_prefs):

• You can erase launch counts and customizations using the Restore Defaults option in Launcher Settings.
• Uninstalling the Application or using Android's native Clear Storage / Clear Data feature immediately removes all locally cached data and configurations.

5. Third-Party Links & Outbound Intents

The Application includes external actions (such as sending feedback via your email client, joining the Reddit community, or viewing legal documents). Tapping these actions opens your device's default web browser or mail client. Data submitted through external apps is governed by the respective privacy policies of those services.

6. Children's Privacy

Because Laxi Launcher collects no personal information, it does not collect data from children under the age of 13, adhering to COPPA and GDPR-K regulations.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any revisions will be published directly to this page with an updated Effective Date.
